32nd ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Please see below for details regarding the 32nd Annual PBD Conference. We look forward to gathering online to connect with our membership via the 2018 web conference.

Conference Date/Time:

The Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars is pleased to announce that the 2018 PBD conference will be offered for free via Zoom for full chapter/membership participation on Friday, June 15, 2018 during the following time block:

  • Pacific: 9:00 AM– 11:00 AM
  • Mountain: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Central: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Eastern: 12:00 PM - 2:00PM

Conference Online Access/Viewing:

PBD members are invited to attend the complete conference or specific segments of interest, as convenient. Please contact your PBD Chapter Coordinator for details about a campus viewing, or refer to the email shared by PBD headquarters for individual login instructions.

Conference Schedule:

The conference is slated for two hours.

The first segment includes the state of affairs overview of PBD including an update from headquarters and remarks from the current PBD President; a keynote address to offer inspiration; and the 2018 awards.

The second portion of the conference includes an invitation for all new and returning chapter coordinators and interested officers/members to join us for an overview of the updated chapter coordinators manual/resources and showcase of best practices from PBD chapters.

The conference will be concluded with the official transition of leadership for 2018-2019 and closing remarks.

Based on Chapter Coordinators’ vote, PBD is pleased to share that Dr. Darren Pierre will share remarks to the membership as part of the 32nd Annual Conference.

Darren Pierre, Ph.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Loyola University of Chicago. His research largely centers on understanding the transformative power that derives from people having the courage to live out their truth.

As a relationship expert, motivational speaker, and the author of his celebrated work The Invitation to Love, Darren is regularly invited to talk shows, radio programs, book reading sessions and magazine interviews. He has spoken across the United States on the ideals of integrity, authenticity, and living a life of purpose. Darren follows three tenets that frame his daily practice for living powerfully: to live in truth, to persevere, and to have a healthy disregard for the impossible.
